I enjoyed this film, but by now you should pretty much know what to expect from the Eating Out series.Chris Mc.https://www.blogger.com/profile/17386712900022133549noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-206982122096688658.post-6542969000619576502011-10-18T09:39:27.701-04:002011-10-18T09:39:27.701-04:00I have to agree with most of the posters here. A big difference (in addition to the horrible script) was the absence of Rebekah Kochan, who elevated the earlier films into hilarious camp. I was glad to hear that Eating Out 6 will focus on her character again--that's almost worth sitting through this one (but not worth the $10 per ticket).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-206982122096688658.post-30126897181312129362011-10-17T16:13:14.471-04:002011-10-17T16:13:14.471-04:00Very disappointing. The series started relatively strong, but has degenerated into the worst of gay moviedom-- ie. toss in a cast of pretty boys mix in absurd sexual situations and vomit on to film. It's insulting to the gay community to have this type of movie presented at a film festival.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-206982122096688658.post-73153548207582654782011-10-17T15:46:41.366-04:002011-10-17T15:46:41.366-04:00I just can't see what is so great about these ...I just can't see what is so great about these movies. The acting was really bad and the director totally missed the opportunity to leverage Jennifer Elise Cox's wonderful comedic talent. She is always hilarius in whatever she does so what a shame that she only appeared in a few minutes of the the movie.

I agree that Mary Lou was the true and rightful closing of the festival.Carlos C. of Butler, NJnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-206982122096688658.post-77232426673023765592011-10-17T15:40:50.135-04:002011-10-17T15:40:50.135-04:00I actually enjoyed this one. But then this is part 5 of a series which was pretty much consistent in what it delivered. It was a nice light comedy that you didn't have to think about a lot to enjoy, with some nice eye candy.

That said, it's not one I'll probably pick up, and it's not something I'd think of to recommend to someone right off. It's not thought provoking, nor does it have a particularly strong message. So I can see where some would find it dull, or too simple.

For me, this was like frosting decorations on a cake. They're fun, pretty, and top things off well. If it was missing, it wouldn't be a big deal. And if you don't like frosting, or frilly decorations, it's probably too much for you. But then who wants to end a party with a shot of espresso vs some cute light-hearted frosting? ;)Woodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16314961330766506008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-206982122096688658.post-16767997044003615272011-10-17T12:10:50.876-04:002011-10-17T12:10:50.876-04:00LOL....OMG, Bill...your comment made me literally ...LOL....OMG, Bill...your comment made me literally laugh right out loud! Thank you so much for confirming my fears and further validating my/our decision not to attend this film and to let "Mary Lou" be the official close of ImageOut 2011 for us!Erik and Jasonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11935236158516982736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-206982122096688658.post-61020648441149292362011-10-17T08:30:28.051-04:002011-10-17T08:30:28.051-04:00Oh, well...
