  1. This was a wonderful film to kick-off the festival! Funny and thought-provoking, with well-written characters.

Having the four primary actors present for a Q&A was wonderful, especially since they were so lively and engaging.

Kudos to Michael and the Programming Comittee!

  2. Glad you enjoyed it Jim. Of course I had already seen the film as the committee was making selections, but it was even more enjoyable to see it in a packed house, and with the amazing stars in attendance!

  3. I also liked the movie. A great way to start the festival. I loved the constant references to Wuthering Heights as well (both blatant and subtle).

  4. That was a great opener! I kind of hoped that the 2 guys would fall in love as well, but movies don't always go exactly the way I want them to! :)

  5. Most people really enjoyed this film and there was a lot of appreciation for having the principal cast at the screening. I didn't realize that there was a "sound" issue. Not sure now if it's the tape or the theater. Here are some of your comments.

    The film was EXCELLENT!

    Other issues:
    - Theater TOO HOT!
    - Audio muddy - dialogue hard to understand
    - Staff in lobby, LOUD!

Poor. Too drawn out and sometimes hard to understand.

  14. From the ballots:

Good but often difficult to understand the dialogue.

  15. From the ballots:

Good. Colorful, sexy, fun, but not much content.

    Talk back too long.

    OUTSTANDING!

  17. From the ballots:

The sound made it difficult to hear all the words -- which was a distraction.

It was very enjoyable listening to the actors talk about their experiences making the film.

After-school special-ish. Glad it didn't wrap up everything in a pretty bow. Some good performances.

  20. From the ballots:

Adorable, funny, transitions between scenes and pannings of street view done well. Enjoyed the break of "slice of life" stuff too. Music choices fit as well.

  25. From the ballots:
Playful and poignant. It kept me guessing throughout the film how it might end!

  26. From the ballots:
This was ... interesting. I think it shows the fluidity of sexuality. Sometimes you just can't help who you fall in love with. Man, those bisexuals really have it hard sometimes.

    From the ballots:
Great movie. Funny, strong all way. Also I really liked how the makers/actors came up stage! In Holland, I never experienced it. Winner!

  34. From the ballots:
Actors who use facial expressions and chemistry more than dialogue -- haven't seen that in a long time! Loved it.

  35. From the ballots:
Fun film to start the Festival. A bit of an After School Special. Very fun that you were able to get the four actors and writer to come and talk with us.

  40. From the ballots:
I think it would be a bit better if it played with Wuthering Heights more. Maybe a Kat & Heather.

  45. From the ballots:
Hard to follow who was who -- 2 guys looked the same also.

  46. From the ballots:
Some of the delivery style made some lines hard to understand. Some great recurring motifs -- the toothbrushing was worth it! Great seeing how close the cast is.

  47. From the ballots:
Excellent. It would have been as good without smoking. Where was the lighting?

    From the ballots:
    Great writing for the women.
    Great supportive acting from males.
Could easily become a sitcom as the characters evolve. In the play, hopefully you can enlarge the male roles.
