Generally well done and interesting, but not really compelling. You cared for the characters, but just... not... enough. Certainly not enough to understand sticking with someone that long unless you were a glutton for self-punishment.
The hotel scene nearly lost me, as Erik didn't seem that bereft of self-worth to put up with that behavior. So without having laid that foundation to make the eventual outcome a growth experience for Erik, I really was left unfulfilled at the end. Instead of a "good for you!", it was more of a shrug and a "huh, so you just lost nine years of your life"....

I agree with the above. Sorry this was my least favorite of the festival so far. I think there is a good base for a story, and the acting was fine, but I hated the way it was directed.
