Day 2: A PLACE TO LIVE ...

THE STORY OF TRIANGLE SQUARE is one of our most touching documentaries in the lineup. I'm just glad that we could offer a film about our LGBT seniors.

I'm surprised there haven't been more comments on this film. I found it immensely educational and touching. It so vividly pointed out the extreme need for such housing, and it was so sad to see the folks the documentary followed, and how badly they NEEDED and wanted to have their home at this facility. With the aging popularion in this country, there is no doubt that more such housing will be critical. How nice for gay seniors to be able to live with others with whom they have much in common.

Loved this film! I remember years ago Kate Clinton commenting that we need, as a community, to create housing for ourselves as we get older, and this film really brought that need home. I was so drawn in to each person in the film... wanting each of them to make it into the lottery, then into the building. And it touched something in me -- I was quite emotional after the movie ended, and also inspired to work for housing for lesbian and gay seniors -- I could get really passionate about that!
