Day 6: ZMD: ZOMBIES OF MASS DESTRUCTION

The zombies are finally here! I wonder what all of you brave and adventurous souls would think of this wacky and gory political zomedy. But this is truly what ImageOut is all about. Bringing in films that you will never see played anywhere or that you think you might not even want to see. This is one of my favorite fun films in the lineup. But then again, I love my B-rated horror stuff. =)

Wow! Some good acting, some that was very bad, indeed; great gory special effects and an appallingly good time all around. What a sterling example of B-movie schlock, couched in our very own special brand of post-Bush paranoia. Really first rate laugh/shriek-fest in the tradition of Shawn of the Dead. Thank you ImageOUT for bringing this gem to the local screen.

I'm psyched that people really liked and enjoyed the movie! Well, at least, that's what it sounds like with all the LOL moments. Haha.

This movie was fun fun fun! It had gore, bad acting, crude moments, and Kuwait-a- minute... laughter.
A proud addition to any Zombie film collection. It was fun to laugh that much.

I loved it... I explained to friends as a gay themed "Night of the Living Dead". I thought it was funny that during most of the "gory parts" people were laughing or cheering, because it was so obviously fake that it was humorous.

The only thing I love more than a badly dubbed Kung-Fu movie is a cheesy zombie flick. This one was too funny! Thank you for this Michael :-) More please next year... and if you can find a badly dubbed gay Kung-Fu flick... ;-)

ZMD put a whole new spin on the coming out story genre. It's one thing to worry that your mother won't accept you or like your boyfriend. It's another threat entirely to fear that she will tear off your limbs and eat your boyfriend. And that "gay movie" that the minister used in his conversion therapy...what a scream!

I'm not much of a Zombie lover (my partner made me come to this movie) but this was pretty entertaining, gore and all.

Michael's comment:
I guess we could go all zombie ... if we want to be a one-day festival. Not.

This movie would benefit from being in 3D. Lots of laughs and awesomely cheesy zombie attacks. Slowed down a bit in the second half but was still fun.

I love that this film played to the right crowd. And that you all appreciated it. You know how I am -- always on the look out for gay zombie films so we shall see about that next year. By the way, if I were to believe imdb.com, there is another zombie movie of a very similar title, ZMDs: ZOMBIES OF MASS DESTRUCTION slated for a 2011 release. Is this a sequel? I don't know. Will it even be gay? Only time will tell. =)
