It feels right to show this great film as the weather turns colder here in Rochester. One of my favorites of all the films we had to choose from this year, Night Fliers warmed my heart and even made me shed a few tears the very first time I saw it. I hope all of you enjoy it too.
Note: The short film Kristy screened during this program.

Adorable film, lovely California landscape and small town feel, finely drawn characters that captured my heart.
This young cast did a fantastic job. It felt like we were just peeking in on real life. A charming story of the trials of growing up when you don't fit the "typical" kid pattern. Thanks for bringing this film to Rochester.
Hey Jessica. You were right to push this film. It really is a sweet movie. I hope to see it again.
Wow. It is so nice to read this post and the comments. I am the writer/director of the film and so wanted to be there for the screening. Thanks for watching. And for getting it!
All the Best,
Sara
Hey Sara! Thanks for finding our blog site here at ImageOut. Yes, people enjoyed the movie. We'll have to get you here for your next movie. Keep me posted. Maybe we'll bump into each other again. And I already sent the tape to DC. =)
Sara,
I am on the programming committee and enjoyed the film during the screening process, and even more in a theatrical setting w/ an audience during the festival screening. A good friend of mine comes to Rochester from PA each year for ImageOut, and he also enjoyed it immensely, and was delighted that his friend Nicole Reynolds was featured prominently on the soundtrack.

Sweet but slow.
Ballot comment:
Excellent film but the music is TOO loud!
Ballot comment from J.M.:
Beautiful ... this movie WAS the story of my youth, captured perfectly. And great music!

Very well done, great soundtrack, beautiful and sweet.

Sweet film - I think the boys really like each other too but are too young to know how to handle it.
KRISTY made me think of my niece "Baby Gabrielle" in a few years maybe -- we'll see!
Ballot comment:
Excellent portrayal of the teen age group -- not just their interactions but their inner feelings as well.

I loved this!
Beautiful story!
Great writing!
Great acting!
Ballot comment:
Excellent! My favorite so far!
Ballot comment:
Cute, slow -- good acting on the part of the kids. Horrible parents.
KRISTY was a theme from a few years ago.
Ballot comment:
Too slow. Felt the film did not depict the real issue.
Ballot comment from M.B.:
I really enjoyed NIGHT FLIERS and wanted to see more. But, in KRISTY, I thought that there was too little dialogue.
Ballot comment from A.L.:
Nicole Reynold's music was a major facilitating part.
