Program 24: To Faro

A captivating and unconventional love story, To Faro serves as a reminder of the exhilaration and naïveté of first love, and the lengths to which some will go in order to maintain it.

This is the perfect film for a cold autumn evening. Join us at 7pm at the Little Theater.

Interesting film. Slow in parts (as expected for a foreign film).

What I want to know is:
What was the relationship between Mel/Miguel and her brother? The initial jealousy and the tattoos on their shoulders?

What was Nuno's backstory.

I agree with Michelle that the film was a bit slow at times, but I really liked it overall. Anjorka Strechel's performance was brilliant - entirely believable throughout the film!

The age thing kind of creeped me out. Great otherwise.

Some disturbing themes but a well-done film.

Good but very slow in the beginning and then not enough conclusion at end. Underage issue was disturbing.

Very well acted.

I liked the movie very much. It was a very good story and plot and very likable characters. You could really feel for "Miguel" or Melanie. It was a good paced movie and interesting to see when Melanie's "deceits/lies" would have to end and how she would try to come clear.

The age difference really threw off the entire movie for me. She was 14 years old, that's gross.

Not something I'd watch again but it dealt with some important issues.
