Program 11: Violet Tendencies

Tonight's sold out screening of Violet Tendencies with guests Casper Andreas and Jesse Archer was an absolute blast! It definitely made for an excellent end to a jam-packed second day of the festival. Did everyone else have as much fun as I did?

Caspar's talents as a director have really blossomed. Jesse's writing is sharp and witty. Great film and a fun evening!

This was really a great comedy. I loved the concept, and loved sharing this with a large group of friends, including our own "Violet". :)

I can't say enough how much I've enjoyed all of Caspar's movies over the past few years. (I can tell you I bought the DVD before seeing the movie, which should tell you something about my confidence in his abilities.) I look forward to seeing more of his and Jesse's work in the future!

I enjoyed this movie with our own Violet. I have enjoyed Caspar and Jesse films before and they didn't disappoint here. We were able to chat with both before the film and bought the DVD for the film. A fun Saturday night film!

OMG I love Jesse. Can you hook me up on a date with him?

Seriously though, I thought Mindy Cohn also was great and she looks like she really hasn't aged all that much and we're talking like, what 25 years since the Facts of Life?

It was great to be able to say hi to heartthrob Jesse. I feel bad for not knowing who he was before this screening!

Loved the plot. Loved the acting. I also loved the fact that nothing was taboo.

Excellent. A fun heart-warming, if not fictional, movie.

A great Saturday night date movie. Perfect movie for this time slot; especially following UNDERTOW. This was fun and smart.

Some problems with picture. I don't know if it's the film or just the Little's projector.

Would you please ask Jesse if he'll go on a date with me?

Michael's response:
I apologize. This screening (the color shift at the end) showed the first sign that the digibeta equipment we had was going bad. We tested it so there was no way we could have done any differently to have prevented the problem. but it got fixed relatively smoothly.

Well, you should have asked Jesse yourself while he was here! You missed your chance. Boo!

Good but soundtrack overpowered dialogue.

From the ballots:
Funny expose of people who try everything and can't see what is right in front of them. Lots of superficial juvenile entertainment.

Stereotypical on too many fronts. Entertaining yet missing something. Not as strong as Casper's previous works.

Director and actor Q&A was fun though and they certainly are cute!

Not quite sure what the point was, other than be true to yourself.

From the ballots:
Very cute but the weakest of the three I have seen so far. I liked UNDERTOW a lot better.

Michael's response:
Glad you liked the films you've seen but most of these films cannot really be compared to each other per se.

Excellent! Looking forward to the next project of Casper and Jesse. Them with Michael during the Q&A were so cute. Michael should be in the entertainment business!

Michael's response:
Thanks luv.
