Pgm 21: METH HEAD

Inspired by writer-director Jane Clark's own real-life experience with methamphetamine addiction, Meth Head is a harrowing and emotional portrayal of drug abuse, as well as the ways in which family (both the ones we're born into and the ones we make for ourselves) influence the paths we take in life. Jane Clark will be in attendance for a Q&A following tonight's screening!

This was a difficult movie to watch in that the actors did such a convincing job of bringing the horrors of meth addiction to the screen. Director and writer Jane Clark skillfully brings the audience into places we don’t want to go- the seedy, dirty drug houses where most of the movie takes place. We can’t escape because we’re caught up in the cycle of addiction with the main character (played by the talented Lukas Haas) all the way to its graphic and bittersweet ending. Left with heavy hearts in the end I’m glad director Jane Clark was there to answer our questions and explain what went into making this terrific film.
