Day 2: QUICK LICKS (Women's Shorts)

I just know that we have selected the best shorts this year and this program by far outshines what we've had in recent years. My personal favorites were Falling for Caroline and U-Haul Rap. What was yours?

NOTE: The short films included in this program are:
Tools 4 Fools
So-Called Living
Evelyn Everyone
Trophy
What I Found in Great Aunt Nell's Closet
Falling for Caroline
Allison, My Love
Happy Birthday
The Sheep and the Ranch Hand
U-Haul Rap

The Sheep fantasy??? Well we were all spellbound - were we not? Didn't care much for it. I thought it was Baaaaaa--d.

It's true, the sheep short was not my cup of tea. That being said, I LOVED all the rest! Thanks ImageOut!

U-Haul Rap somehow got cut out of the shorts that were shown...it wasn't shown. I looked it up online on my own (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0MxsQnWRX0). Too bad everyone didn't get to see it!

Thanks for letting me know about U-HAUL RAP. It's a funny bit so I will screen it right before HANNAH FREE tonight as a "make up" screening. I'll also ask have a link to the youtube video available on our ImageOut website under the QUICK LICKS shorts program.

Two things dominated the ballot for this program:

1. WTF was that sheep movie!
2. Where was U-HAUL RAP?

I guess THE SHEEP AND THE RANCH HAND was a bit much for the Rochester audience. But it kinda foreshadowed the even more violent audience reaction the following evening at the Little.

I have to say that we can blame the U-HAUL RAP mess on the projectionist (sorry Bri!). She thought the last film of the program was the sheep one. And I must say it was a horrible way to end that program. The plan all along was to send you home with a fun and entertaining movie. It was just too bad it didn't work out that way. The people who saw HANNAH FREE loved the video when I screened it that time.

TOOLS 4 FOOLS was awesome. But the sound was out of sync.

I'm glad RWCC got a Saturday night exposure. Please show the films in the order listed here. Have white light come up on screen for 10-15 seconds in between films so we can see the ballot to mark it.

Ballot comment from C.S. and G.R.:
The shorts were completely enjoyable!

This is our first time at ImageOut and we are loving the films.

Could the organizers put the name of the event - "Quick Licks" - on the award ballot next time? I felt foolish when I had to ask an organizer where we were supposed to vote for the movie we were seeing. She looked at me like I was nuts and it tool me a minute to realize that Program 10 was "Quick Licks." Thanks!

Ballot comment:
The sheep was weird -- way to push the limits! The sheep film -- not something the Rochester audience would normally go for. Don't wanna see more of it. But thanks for giving a little taste of ImageOut There!!!
